Sightseeing in Budapest (about 3 hours)

Passing by the Parliament, crossing the Danube on Margaret-Bridge (Margaret-Island). Drive to the Royal Castle District on the Buda side, visiting the Fisherman’s Bastion and the Mathias Church. Jewish Budapest

Driving along the Danube, visit to the Great Synagogue (glorious building in Byzantine-Moorish style, Europe’s largest synagogue) and to the Jewish Museum (interior visits). Visit to the Museum of Applied Art, a beautiful Art Nouveau building with Zsolnay ceramics on the roof. One of the most attractive sights in the capital. Oriental rug collection, wall hangings, Esterházy treasury, Art Nouveau glassware, Italian majolica, Zsolnay ceramics, French furniture.

Visiting Gellért Bath

Take a look from inside at one of the most popular and most beautiful baths in Budapest without having a bath. The medicinal spring here was already famed in the 13th century. The spa is decorated with a wealth of original Art Nouveau furnishing, artistic mosaics, stained glass windows and sculptures.

Have a bath in Gellért Bath or in Széchenyi Bath

The open-air wave pool of Gellért Bath (Art Nouveau style) was the first in the world. The bath disposes of 3 external and 10 internal pool with thermal water (26-38°C). Széchenyi Bath (Neo Baroque style) has the deepest and hottest (74-75°C) thermal wells in the capital. The open-air sections with their pleasantly warm waters are equally popular in winter.

   
     

Wellness

Hungary is extremely rich in thermal waters springs, its thermal water reserve is significant on a world scale and on European scale is outstanding. Most of the mineral and medicinal waters contain dissolved minerals endows them with curative powers, and makes them suitable for bathing and drinking cures.  Currently there are more than a thousand wells in Hungary that give + 30°C hot water most of which is medicinal water. Medicinal waters can be found in almost all regions of Hungary about three-quarters of the wells are located in the Great Hungarian Plain. For decades Budapest has been enjoying the name "the world's spa capital" and has a dozen baths some of them existing from the Roman times.

The Formula 1 Grand Prix is organised every year for over 20 years in the surroundings of Budapest. This year it takes place from 3rd to 6th August 2006. We organise hotel booking, tickets, transfer and complimentary programmes as well.

There is a waste choice of cultural programmes in Budapest. High standard opera and ballet performances of the Hungarian State Opera constantly play for full houses.   • The hills of Buda: Walking, Elisabeth look-out tower, children’s railway, cogwheel railway, chair lift

There are few large cities where natural greenery is so readily accessible. The Buda hills are known as the lungs of the capital. 400-500 m high, nice hills on the Northern West part of Budapest, fresh air and unique transport possibilities (children’s railway, cogwheel railway, chair lift).

   
     
  • Szentendre

Excursion to this baroque picturesque little town with Mediterranean atmosphere, also called as the village of artists. You can visit here many art museums, including the most famous museum, the ceramic museum of Margit Kovács. Here can be found the serbe-orthodox church, Blagovestenska too. Szentendre has preserved its 18-19th century compact and unified outfit. Picturesque settings on the Danube, crooked streets, great place for shooping.

   
     
  • Sissi castle in Gödöllő

An excursion to Gödöll and visit to the 2nd Baroque castle in Europe, the Grassalkovich Castle. This was the favourite summer residence of the wife of emperor Franz Joseph, Queen Elizabeth, Sisi.

  1. The Danube Bend

A nice excursion to the Danube Bend. Visiting Esztergom, the formel royal town and the Basilica. Going on to Visegrád, former Royal Seat and a breathtaking view on the Danube Bend awaits the group. Contiunation to Szentendre, baroque picturesque little town with Mediterranean atmosphere, also called as the village of artists.

   
     
  1. Puszta programme in Lajosmizse or in Bugacpuszta

Excursion to the Hungarian Great Plain. Upon arrival welcome by apricot brandy and pogacsa (sauvory scones). Carriage ride through the Puszta, horse show programme that presents the lifesyle of the rangmen, possibility to ride and visit to the horse stables. Lunch (3-course menu with a glass of wine and mineral water) accompanied by gypsy music.

   
     
  1. Hortobágy

Grassy plain between the Hajdúság and the river Tisza, which was controlled in the 1840s, making the area the biggest plain in Central-Europe. The region is part of the World Heritage. Its area is 80,000 hectares, it is a nature conservation area. Shepherding, horse breeding, fishing and breeeding of indigenous animals are typical in this region. There used to be 50 settlements here. The Hortobágy National Park is the first nature reserve in Hungary with more than 230 protected bird species. Several hundred thousand tourists are attracted by the sights of intact nature every year.

   
     
  1. Eger

Baroque town surrounded by hills,  the famous Bull’s blood is produced here. Many of sights from the more than 1000 year old history. Eger is one of the most beautiful towns of Hungary, thermal sources, memories of the Turkish time can also be found there.

   
     
  1. Tokaj

Tokaj is a beautiful little village surrounded by the volcanic hills producing the famed Tokaj wines.  The most popular one is the Tokay Aszú, ’the wine of kings, king of wines”. The quality of the wine is given in butts. The quality growths with the number of butts. 

   
     
  1. Lake Balaton and Herend

It is not only the water that attracts visitors to the most popular resort of Hungary: Lake Balaton Highlands are excellent excursion spots offering the wines of the neighbourhood in pleasantly cool cellars, as well. The most famous places to visit are: Siófok, Tihany, Balatonfüred, Keszthely with rich cultural Heritage. Herend is a small town near to the city of Veszprém. Most famous for its long tradition of excellent porcelaine manufacturing. The history of the town goes back into Roman times.

  1. Vienna
